Did you know core training can prevent injuries in your back as well as in your extremities such as your knees? Durall et al. states a core exercise program of 10 weeks prevented any new back pain incidents and controlled the pain in those with a history of pain in a population of competitive gymnasts. Similar exercises have also been shown to prevent knee injuries in basketball players.

Many insurance plans will allow you to see a physical therapist without a doctor’s prescription, but you must check with your plan. Washington state allows physical therapy without referral from a physician and our clinic offers scheduling within 24 hours in order to relieve your symptoms and maintain a steady progressive training program.
